Data Not Collected. ShotIntent does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All screenshot data, intent analysis, and organizational information remain entirely on your device.
All processing happens locally on your iPhone or iPad
No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no usage profiling
No sign-up, no login, no cloud sync required
Section 01
ShotIntent is a utility app that helps you organize screenshots by recovering the intent behind each saved image. The app imports screenshots from your photo library, extracts text via on-device OCR, detects screenshot types, and predicts why you likely saved each one.
All analysis — including intent recovery, text extraction, and type detection — is performed locally on your device. No screenshot content is sent to any server.
Section 02
ShotIntent does not collect any of the following:
No name, email, phone number, or account credentials
Images and extracted text never leave your device
No behavioral tracking, session data, or feature usage metrics
No IDFA, device fingerprint, or hardware identifiers collected
Section 03
Screenshots you import, intent classifications, folder assignments, status labels, and OCR-extracted text are stored locally using standard iOS storage mechanisms. This data persists on your device until you delete it within the app or uninstall ShotIntent.
If you use iCloud backup for your device, app data may be included in that backup according to your Apple iCloud settings. This is managed by Apple, not by ShotIntent.
Section 04
ShotIntent requests access to your photo library solely to import screenshots you select. The app only reads the images you choose to bring in. It does not scan, upload, or access photos beyond what you explicitly import.
Section 05
ShotIntent does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection SDKs. The app operates independently without external service dependencies.
Section 06
ShotIntent is rated 4+ on the App Store. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since no data collection occurs, there is no age-specific data handling to disclose.
Section 07
Because all data remains on your device, no cross-border data transfers occur through ShotIntent. Regardless of your location, your screenshot data stays locally stored and is not transmitted to any jurisdiction.
Section 08
This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app or applicable regulations. When updates occur, the effective date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of ShotIntent after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
